A special feature this year is a hands-on farm experience, created by the Coombs Farmers’ Institute in partnership with Salish Sea Culinary, Qualicum Beach Community Education and Wellness Society, and the Root Bag project. Called “Farmers Feed Families”, this interactive display will feature agriculture awareness and education and global awareness, and will bring local farm families together with some of their wares to meet and talk with the public. In this authentic farmyard setting there will be things to do, things to taste, information to gain, the amazing growing of produce in root bags and farm animals to see.
